Fluid Commerce is one of the most celebrated ecommerce growth agencies in the UK, winning multiple awards in the fields of web development and performance marketing.
2021 was a big year for Fluid Commerce. As an ecommerce growth agency, our focus is always on transformation. We constantly create or embrace new technologies and opportunities that drive growth for our clients. This can be delivering the very latest in cutting-edge website development, such as PWAs from Adobe Commerce, or in providing advanced solutions for our performance marketing clients.
The last twelve months have seen us succeed at this goal more than ever before, highlighted by our success at the UK Ecommerce Awards in October. With two clients up for three very different award categories, our award-win hat trick was a fantastic acknowledgement of the breadth and depth of skills, talent and sheer graft of our team.
Our work creating Best4Flooring’s Adobe Commerce (powered by Magento) website won in two categories: B2C Ecommerce Website of the Year and DIY, Home, Furniture & Interior Design Ecommerce Website of the Year.
We decided to enter Best4Flooring as it is an exemplary example of ecommerce best practice. The flooring company was on Magento 1 and needed to upgrade to Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce) due to the Magento 1 End of Life in mid 2020. At the same time, the company wanted to use the opportunity to refresh the storefront with a brand new design to make it more modern, user-friendly and conversion-rate optimised. Our redesign, migration and development of the Magento 2 website produced terrific results for Best4Flooring – even when adjusting for the ecommerce boom caused by the pandemic.
Premium skincare company Augustinus Bader was the second client we put forward at the UK Ecommerce Awards, winning the Beauty, Health & Well Being Ecommerce Website of the Year. The Augustinus Bader site is a fantastic demonstration of how we work with our web development clients to deliver continual growth, enhanced functionality and increased revenue.
After migrating the brand’s seven Shopify Plus sites over to one Magento 2 site back in 2019, in 2021 we upgraded the site to the latest version of Magento and introduced an enhanced subscription service that we custom built for the brand. We also built a product matcher, ‘Find Your Formula’, and developed a custom-crafted integration of the LoyaltyLion tech solution.
Our three wins was rounded off with the Silver Award for the UK Ecommerce Large Agency of the Year – a fantastic achievement as this was the first year we qualified to enter the ‘Large’ category. This was made possible following a remarkable increase in our clients, revenue and staff in 2021.
Entering and winning awards such as the UK Ecommerce Awards brings with it multiple benefits. First, we get to review and recap on a year’s worth of work for a client, to see just how far they’ve come. It’s great to take stock and appreciate all that we’ve achieved together. It’s a fantastic feeling to acknowledge all of the long hours, hard work and problem-solving solutions we’ve accomplished along the way.
Secondly, we know that our team of developers are world class. And we know that our account managers and project managers are at the very top of their game. Winning multiple awards gives our team the public recognition and praise that they deserve. It gives us the ability for us to shout from the rooftops about our ecommerce prowess. Our clients are excited to be working with an award-winning company, and it gets us on the radar of future clients.
In 2022, we’ve got big plans. Our focus will be on developing Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), with our flagship PWA Studio site for Lakeland Leather launched to great success in November. Equally, we will be expanding our Performance Marketing service, continuing to dominate as the UK’s leading Amazon Marketing agency, and offering ever-more sophisticated Paid Search solutions.
